Frequently asked Travel Questions and Answers

Can you quote and advise of the travel vaccinations I need over the telephone?

Our reception staff are not qualified to offer medical advice.  They can advise you on the procedures to be expected when you come in to see us for a booked Travel consultation.

The vaccinations that you will need will depend on a number of factors:  on you - your health status - your previous immunity as well as the destination to which you are travelling  ( - the duration , country, season , accommodation choices, and activities you will be pursuing.)

We do have a link on our travel page where you can select the country that you wish to travel to.  This will give you a general idea of what you will need to consider for your trip.

Our Nurses do not provide a telephone consultation service.

Why do I need to pay a Consultation Fee as I already know what I need?

All vaccinations and medications are prescription items and this means that medico-legally, you need to have a consultation to get them prescribed in an appropriate manner.  The Consultation time is 30 minutes and is a service that we provide

What is the Appointment Fee ?

Our fees are as follows:

$100 per family or $150 for 3 or more adults.

This is a flat consultation rate irregardless of whether or not you are a registered patient with our practice or with another practice.
