As the gap between the government funding for primary care and the cost to deliver quality care continues to widen, we face no choice but increase some of our fees. This is not a decision we want to make but the continuous underfunding has made this decision necessary.
The current government funding does not cover the increasing costs we face as a business to ensure we remain sustainable to continue delivering high quality primary care.

There is no change to Community Service Card Holders or Children 17 and under.
We know many of our patients face the cost of care as a barrier. At the same time, it is the responsibility of the government to properly fund public access to care and equitable access to care. Health care workers deserve to be paid fair wages, as they also face a crushing rise in the cost of living like everyone else.
Independent analysis by accountancy consultants Grant Thornton, commissioned by GenPro, found government funding increases had fallen short of cost pressures 10 times in the past 20 years.
This year's four percent increase represented the largest shortfall in 20 years.
Workload had increased, with patient attendance up more than 20 percent in the 10 years to 2022.
Chambers said the government had "consistently dishonoured" its own own contractual commitment through primary care organisations, to "maintain the value of general practice funding".
