Due to the increasing demand on our nurses to provide personalised clinical advice, we are no longer able to offer all nursing requests for free. This change has also been implemented at other medical centres as we all face increased demands

Nurse Brief Advice:

If patients are wondering if they should book a GP visit, attend Urgent Care or the hospital they are advised to call Healthline 0800 611 116 for free.

You can also access your results via your MyIndici Portal. If patients call the practice and ask for personalised advice from a nurse they will be charged a brief RN advice fee.

Charges will be determined by the duration of the call.

Time Charge

Less than 5 minutes Free

5-10 minutes $15

10-15minutes $30

Over 15 minutes $45

Here are some answers to questions you may have....

Will I be charged if a nurse calls me?

As this would generally be to relay a message from your doctor, or to triage and urgent concern a fee would not generally apply as this should take less than five minutes. Where a fee may be charged is if you request further clinical advice from the nurse that extends the call.

If I phone the nurse for advice but am advised I need to see a doctor for an appointment, will I be charged?

These calls are treated like a triage so should not last longer than five minutes.

Will I be charged if I want to ask about my results?

Yes. If you wish to discuss you will need to make a virtual or in person appointment with a doctor. Unfortunately, we no longer have the capacity to discuss this at no charge. An alternative is to sign up to our portal to access your results.
