Dr Anel Reyneke
Since coming to new Zealand in 2003, I am happy to be still part of the team at Papamoa Pines Medical Centre.
I have come to know a lot of families in Papamoa, sharing our life in our wonderful area since 2003. My husband Yaco is a minister of religion at St Enochs Presbyterian church in Tauranga.
We have three adult children and enjoys the empty nest phase of our lives.
I completed the Masters degree in General Practice through the Otago medical school. I presented my research at the International Integrated Health conference, and also at the GP conference in New Zealand. My research article was published in the Journal of Primary Health Care, New Zealand.
I am involved in the GP vocational training programme for the Royal New Zealand college of general practitioners as medical educator - doing learning group and in practice visits to the GP trainees busy with their vocational training. This keep me busy for at least one day per week.
As part of ongoing medical education I developed an audit on self-care, which was accepted as part of the official audits of the RNZCGP.
